How I Manage to get my Homework Done at the Last Minute
May 27th, 2008 · 4 Comments
- 3 Pages of Geometry proofs
- One World History essay with specific evidence from a 20 page document.
- Reading 120 pages in 20 minutes while going up the stairs and managing to hit every sunbae and teacher in the building.
- Studying for the Final Exams last semester
- Choreographing an entire 10 minute monologue for Theatre Class
- Getting my school application to KIS finished and revised 3 times through
But there are exceptions. When you have a group project to do, or some kind of Spanish worksheet with insane conjugations you haven’t even heard of after 2 years of living in Mexico and 3 years of watching 1970’s Mexican films with your parents, you simply can’t finish those before the first school bell rings. Now for me, my schedule is heaven. Those assignments are always somehow due RIGHT AFTER LUNCH! Now if you expect to eat lunch and then calmly finish your homework as you are finishing your food. You must be delusional. Stop reading, close this window and leave. YOU MUST GIVE UP YOUR FOOD!!! Now, once you’ve stopped hankering over that, pick up your pencil and start workin’. By the end of the 45 min, which by the way is only 25 min because it takes 10 min to get down from Club, and 15 minutes to get from the Cafeteria thanks to its ULTRA-CONVENIENT area, you have that much time to finish what you got. Utilize this cafeteria time to:
- Ask your friends what the homework was (you can’t begin it until u know what it is you dunce)
- Get help from that math whiz who learns AP Calculus YZ
- Threaten the nerdy boy to photocopy 500 pages of study guides for Mr. Barry’s P.E. class
- And of course, ask the kid who has asked for ALOT OF FOOD from the cafeteria ladies for some spare munchies
If you stick to your mind, and use determination to get through homework (which should not in any circumstances be done at home), you should be done by the end of Lunch. If not, hand in your pencils because quite frankly, your screwed. And please, don’t try to do homework in class because the teacher will most likely turn into something resembling the Minotaur and shred your homework into pieces regardless if you are doing it on paper or your Macbook. So thanks for listening, and I hope one day, you can get homework done EXCLUSIVELY at school! Just. Like. Me. HAVE A NICE DAY ![]()

Top Ten Most KICKA** MAC APPS!
May 14th, 2008 · 4 Comments
- Transmission - the fast Torrent file known to me, it great, small, faster than the speed of dark, and its simply wonderful. If you like to download torrent files, this things for you. Screw Bittorrent.
- Flock - this is WAAAAAAAAAY better than Firefox. Its cleaner, faster, and has more unique features that Firefox is too noobish to have. L33T H4X0R$ use Flock.
- Skype - I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. This is your bread-and-butter application for Video Chatting. This is by far, the most reliable video chatting client and it surpasses the pitiful iChat application by leagues. To find out how great Skype is, just talk to Mr. Burrell
- Frostwire - So as we all know, to buy actual CD’s has long been considered a thing of the past. Gone are the compact disks, in with the illegal file sharing and RIAA-insultage. Frostwire is the better alternative to Limewire, and the download speeds can be considered equal to Limewire PRO. In a nutshell, its the same thing, only faster, different icon and FREEEE $-$
- MainMenu - For all of you people who have realized your Macs are going slower, and your hard disk spaces are being taken up faster than Rosie O’Donnell at an all-you-can-eat buffet, I recommend this handy-dandy (I can’t believe I wrote that) tool to clear up hard disk space, and do basic maintenance tasks to make your Mac running as fast as it was in the beginning when you first conceived it.
- Joost - If you’ve heard of TVU for Windows, Joost is kinda the same thing, only for Mac. Its basically TV on your Mac. As the site says, over 20000 shows, and 400+ sites… Not too bad….
- OpenOffice for Mac - For those too cheap to buy Microsoft Office, and those too lazy to download it yourselves, OpenOffice is the free alternative to Office. Its also faster, and has cool features that are unique to OpenOffice.
- VLC - The ALMIGHTY MEDIA PLAYER!!! This baby will open ANY media file you want. Ogg, wmv, avi, this thing can open it all. Put aside Quicktime, VLC is the eight path that will not lead you astray.
- Wallsaver - Tired of your boring desktop? WELL DOWNLOAD WALLSAVER where you can use your SCREENSAVER as your WALLPAPER! Warning: This may slow down your Mac a little bit, but for a cool desktop, WHO CARES?!
- VirtueDesktops - Think of this as your safe haven. Away from the prying eyes of your mom. This app will let you change your desktops at will, so you don’t have to rush to close all of your *cough* *cough* unnecessary windows. Just press the trigger buttons on your keyboard, and VOILĂ! Desktop changed, shame gone.
Once again, let me tell you, all the apps on this list are COMPLETELY FREEEEE ![]()
So there you have it. Ten Apps, that will let you pimp out your mac. Join me next time when I show you…. something else!!! Oh and if you are having trouble locating the apps to download, for Christ’s sakes, just damn Google it. Your living in the 21st century, act like it.
